Thank you for the great information on using StumbleUpon to attract traffic.

I have used StumbleUpon for a long time now - but for some reason never really thought of using it to promote my own blog.

Caroline,

Thank you for pointing that out to all the readers. StumbleUpon is no doubt a great social network on top of its bookmarking and sharing features. Used wisely it will undoubtedly drive many sources of traffic to a website or blog.

This is an excellent introduction to StumbleUpon but one thing you have not talked about much is the networking aspect of it. As well as being a great discovery tool, there is a whole social network behind the toolbar. You can add friends, join groups, share stumbles and so on.

I find that connecting with friends with similar interests is a great way of attracting more traffic to the sites I stumble because all of my stumbles appear in THEIR feeds when they login.
